Frequently asked questions.

Do you take my insurance?

We are not in-network with any insurance plans. Here’s why...

Being an out of network clinic allows us to provide the quality care you have come to expect from us while being able to keep our doors open. You will spend your entire session with your therapist who will thoroughly evaluate you, find the root cause of your dysfunction and create a treatment plan unique to you. They will also be there every step of the way to help you achieve your goals as you will never be handed off to a less qualified aide or technician.

Insurance companies don’t look at patient care this way as they pay in network providers significantly less. The only way for these in network clinics to survive on these poor reimbursements is to see a ton of people every day. At this type of clinic, you may be working with a therapist treating multiple patients at once who may substitute individualized care for treatments like hot packs and ice.

You deserve focused attention and a personalized treatment plan that isn’t at the mercy of insurance companies or distracted therapists. That’s the elevated care you can expect from us.

Some insurance plans offer out of network benefits that may cover a portion or the entire cost of your visit! If you are unsure of your coverage, we offer a complete insurance plan consultation before you schedule to remove any doubts!

Thats cool but I don’t have any out of network benefits … should I go somewhere else?

No way! We believe in providing the highest quality PT and will work with you to make sure you get the treatment you deserve. Our expertise, skills and experience will get you better faster and performing better than ever and will be well worth the investment.

Do I need a prescription before I come to see you?

Nope! Here in New York, Physical Therapy is covered under “Direct Access” which means you can be seen by a physical therapist for a musculoskeletal injury before seeing a medical doctor. If you do need to see a doctor after your initial visit or beyond, we have a wonderful list of trusted providers we can refer you to.

How does a session work?

Every session involves you working one on one with your physical therapist for one hour! If its your first time, we’ll have you fill out a couple of forms beforehand and ask a lot of questions to get to know you and how we can best help. Most sessions involve your therapist watching and assessing your movement and then using treatments such as hands on manual therapy or tailored exercises designed to get you moving and feeling better. We treat every session like an evaluation so we are constantly reassessing to make sure you are progressing as best as possible. Make sure to bring comfortable clothing such as shorts and a t-shirt!
